I think we sometimes forget how much backlash there was for the bathroom bill in North Carolina a decade ago.

They see the press as an extension of their ideological preferences. I don't think they believe in objectivity in the press exists

You don't seem to understand that the nyt isn't an activist newspaper. Not everyone needs to be spoonfed what things mean.

Thank you. That helps me understand

I could also pose the hypothetical do you think being trans made it more likely he would have killed her
November 19, 2025 at 6:41 PM
You literally made it about race in your post
November 19, 2025 at 6:40 PM
Right but it's her boyfriend... This isn't some random hate crime.

If her skin was white in the exact same situation, do you think the outcome would be different?
November 19, 2025 at 6:15 PM
Why should we care whether she is trans? She was killed by a significant other. How is it different from all the other women killed in domestic violence?

Also I searched on Google and found many stories about it

Found it thanks

Where are you getting the stats that the transitioners don't regret their transition?
November 12, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Mamdani was elected because he's popular in a liberal city. NYC isn't very representative of the country's politics

I'm using "communist regimes" as an alternative for the transitional governments that call themselves communist. The failure to attain the final stage of communism has failed because it is not sustainable in any way. The foundation crumbles every time with millions of people trapped underneath
November 11, 2025 at 5:57 PM
Perhaps the fact that 1/3 of the world lives under communist regimes and couldn't make it work, should be proof that its a failed ideology
November 11, 2025 at 4:59 PM
Yeah we should have better ways of doing things.... Like the gulags
November 10, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Good for you trying to create a pity party for those poor ol' felons. They can hardly catch a break being busy committing all those crimes
November 10, 2025 at 6:04 PM
You had 1/3 of the entire world population as communists at its height and watched it fester and die a slow painful death. Doesn't seem like creating bloodthirsty dictators and unsustainable economies is "being correct"
November 10, 2025 at 5:13 PM
I'm glad the world isn't as simple as you make it. I'd hate to live in your head
October 30, 2025 at 3:39 PM
The difference is that the African Americans were citizens. We control the levers of immigration

"I totally insulted a stranger trying to help me"
October 22, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Who wants to see me dead?
October 19, 2025 at 12:05 PM
Make me think you don't actually want to win. It's easier to sit on the sidelines and complain rather than deal with the reality of governing and all the messiness that comes with it.

LoL what? I'm talking about cultural relevance in shaping the policies of the counties we live in. I'm not sure how Canada was affected but twitter shaped the dialogue of our politics.

Just because I think Egypt isn't included in this shaping has nothing to do with exceptionalism
October 12, 2025 at 10:45 PM
I'm talking about this country
October 12, 2025 at 5:03 PM
I think you vastly underestimate the sway twitter held for almost a decade. A lot of ideas crept into institutional thinking. There's a reason Elon spent what he did to neutralize it
October 12, 2025 at 3:29 PM
By ceding twitter you ceded any cultural relevance. The left wielded incredible power on Twitter, but no one is swayed by Bluesky
