Starmer seems forget that only a handful of professions like lawyers have a code of ethics which prevents them from telling massive lies. A CEO’s only duty is to the shareholders. So you get the truth if it’s in the shareholders interest to tell it.

If Labour fail then whatever comes next won’t follow any of the orthodoxies that Starmer binds himself to. It will sweep in with Project 2025 type agenda trumpeting a ‘mandate for change’ and that will be that.
