At the start of “Premonition”, you will hear a motif to FF7’s Main Theme, which is no coincidence, especially given her original FF7 origins during conception. It’s unknown if this track was made for FF7, or for FF8 with a reference to FF7. Nobuo made FF8’s OST, too.

Also, Edea Kramer from FF8 was originally conceptualized for FF7. Her original role was to be some sort of “Cult leader” for Jenova. She was scrapped and later re-used for FF8, but her FF7 reference is still there in her boss battle track, “Premonition”. —
