It felt great to see a superhero movie that had saving everyday people at the heart of it again

I can't recommend it enough. The script is incredible and the way a certain character acts out their lines still haunts me. Was a huge surprise for me because while I liked the first movie, it wasn't my fave or anything.

Also, go ahead and skip 2. It's it's own thing and is super bad.

Last best new movie I saw was Alien: Romulus which was such a wild ride, but in terms of new to me, Ginger Snaps was a heartbreaking treat that fed my love of werewolves, and The Exorcist 3 was so good that I wonder daily if it's in my top 10 films of all time. Near perfect movie from top to bottom.

(It's because Maleficent wasn't just the exact same animated movie we've all seen a billion times over but with ugly ass gray filters and no visual sauce‼️‼️‼️ It expanded on different shit with the story and made it more interesting‼️‼️‼️)
