I like the character development in TLJ just not the way he became afraid of the fight again after risking everything to try to win it
Wether or not he’s saving Rey TFA very much made it seem like Finn was willing to take up the fight for a cause that was his choice not one imbedded in him

However considering Finn was willing to risk everything to go to Starkiller base even if it’s just to save a girl he just met it shows he’s willing to sacrifice everything for something bigger than himself
Him developing to learn about the wider galaxy is fine and makes sense but that’s

I just feel like the first movie showed Finn was willing to sacrifice himself for others or at least Rey
I don’t think we needed another scene for the sake of fixing reversed character development
Rose sacrifice might’ve been a better pick to forward some different character aspect

Would’ve been better I liked kinda the ideas both directors set up but it seems like they needed more time and better communication on where they wanted to take their respective stories

I mean fair but in a franchise with good choreography it hurts
TROS is worse but that doesn’t excuse TLJ

Overtaken I liked the idea of Kylo taking over the First Order and the plot line of Rey being a nobody I feel like if RJ or JJA had another year the movies

Bad fight choreography
Boring sidequests and reversing Finn’s character development
Holdo couldve prevented the on board insurrection and just choosing not to tell anybody her plan causing it
Finn’s attempt at self sacrifice just being unnecessary
The story is engaging tho

The Obi-Wan parts were good the romance parts were cringe, Geonosis was the best part.
