A thought experiment: What if the government didn’t regulate “marriage” at all—and only recognized civil partnerships? Would we actually have fewer conflicts around equality and religion?

I’m gay and married, btw - not for religious purposes, but for equal protections and rights.

Embracing flexibility with location scouting today. Just when something doesn't work and frustration sets in, another door opens that ends up being a better choice!

Progress is made when you continue to push forward and seek out alternative paths to your goals. 😃

Hosting parties/dinners/gatherings/happy hours is a lot of work and stressful, but worth it every time. Friends appreciate it and the simple act of getting together recharges my soul.

Nothing makes me happier than making other people happy.
With loneliness on the rise and the hosting of parties in decline, what better way to throw a dinner party than to invite the most intimidating possible guest?

One of the tone inspirations for my new film HAPTIC. (From Framset.app) Artist is @nilipek.bsky.social Cinematographer is Arda Uzmez.

The soft highlights against neutral colors for specific scenes will help define grounded reality, calm, and, most important, safety for the lead character.

My first feature is finally happening. At a month into preproduction, it still feels surreal typing that. HAPTIC has been living in drafts, notes, obsessions and dreams. In a couple months, it becomes a reality! I’m in it.

Creating festival lists this morning for my next two films. Filmmaker friends - Any east coast LGBTQ focused film festivals that you’ve had personal experience with and would recommend?

Learning filmmaking, I thought doing horror was where I was meant to be. Eight years in and shifting my focus to queer storytelling has been a more natural, rewarding, and fun process than I could have imagined!

They say “write what you know” and that has proven to be accurate for me.

Recommending both @netflix.com House of Guinness and Boots both for their predominantly queer storylines but also for the quality storytelling. Just finished binge-watching both and can’t wait for the second seasons!

LGBTQ+ visibility in storytelling matters now more than ever.

In an environment where our rights are headed backward, our leadership is self-serving and progress is stalled at best, it’s important to make sure that your voice is being heard.

Keep creating!
