tips for an enby struggling to feel seen and valid

phew y'all are asking big Qs!! I do like it tho hehe <3
so im gonna talk about myself a bit for context. I came out in 2018 and at the time I was much smaller in size, and also bald. this really helped me explore my gender in diff ways because I had the ability to express more androgynously (and even masc). When I first came out I was really hellbent on being androgynous and fitting the stereotypical idea of a nonbinary person. I was lucky to be dating a queer person and we shared a wardrobe + loved to explore fashion and personal style which helped a lot. I struggled with many insecurities especially because I love a lot of feminine things which felt incorrect given that i'm afab. It's taken a lot of time for me to realise that nonbinary is whatever the fuck I want it to be, and that I can still enjoy more girly things and STILL be nonbinary. I also surrounded myself with a lot more queer and enby folk online and in person. we are a big

online and in person. we are a big spectrum, and seeing other people like me really reinforced my confidence in my identity.
I also set hard boundaries on my pronouns, terms I am comfortable with, what my friends can call me, etc. I correct people as much as possible when I feel comfortable doing so, and I don't really take shit from people who make dramatic excuses and apologies when misgendering me.
because of how I present, I know I will get misgendered, and I'm okay with that to an extent. I don't care if a stranger misgenders me, and I won't correct them if l'll never see them again.
also if you use 2 pronouns (she/they for example, I really encourage you to set boundaries with your friends/people around you on how you want those pronouns used. a lot of people will pick a fave, and often will ignore the other which I know can feel invalidating. if you're fine w that, great! otherwise, I recommend tellina people to use the interchangingly (I

anyway, all that to say it takes time, assertiveness, and surrounding yourself with others like you. try not to fit yourself into a box of what you think nonbinary is, that's literally the opposite of nonbinary!!!

do you have any recs for learning how to do makeup? you always look so good!

honestly a LOT of trial and error. I used to watch a lot of drag queens do makeup which taught me a lot, I also love nikkietutorials, and the mother birdie on tiktok.
I spend an ungodly amount of time watching people do their makeup, and spend the same amount of time doing my makeup. I also got super into special effects at 16 and was self taught, so I feel like that helped me learn more about makeup too?
I could talk about makeup for AGES i used to want to be a makeup artist. but I'm hoping that's a good start??
