He is experiencing irritation and frequent trips to the litter box, but he’s hanging in there for now! We just have to monitor him and watch for signs of an obstruction (no way to predict that). The sooner the stones are out, the better!

They just got back to me and the total comes out to $1,234.79! I’ve updated the kofi goal to match that amount. I’m still waiting to hear if this includes any pain or aftercare medicine, since I’m not a doctor and don’t fully understand everything listed on the estimate,

Update thread on Mr. Cat’s surgery! ♡

This morning I dropped off a letter at our vet explaining that we’re crowdfunding and asking for a full cost breakdown, since the original phone estimate was just a rough guess (between 1200 and 1500 usd).

As for direct payments, I’m not entirely sure how they handle that, but I imagine they’d accept payments over the phone once the surgery is officially scheduled. I just can’t schedule it until I know for sure I’ll be able to cover the cost

I don’t have any official documentation yet since the surgery hasn’t been scheduled. The vet gave me a rough estimate over the phone (between $1200–$1500). They’re closed today (Sunday), but I’ll reach out tomorrow to see if they can email me an itemized quote or something in writing!
