This book was amazing! I highly recommend it. Very well written with a compelling storyline and unique magic system. It was easy to connect with the characters and understand their motives. The audiobook narration was also very well done.

Reading this book went along well with watching The Vow. It really highlights what coercive control can do to a person no matter how intelligent they may be. It was good to hear the survivors speak. Highly recommend this book if cults interest you.

This was a very compelling book detailing a complicated family dynamic and how perspectives change from youth to adulthood. One of my fave reads this year!
