I now realize that I probably shouldn't have blamed the bodega on my corner for selling milk went bad so quickly.

When I moved into my last apartment, I was livid at my new neighbors, their alarm that went off at the most random times, and how it took them forever to turn it off. Then *months later* I discovered that if I didn't close my refrigerator door fully, an alarm rang. It was my goddamn fridge.

I'm so glad I clicked through and discovered you wrote the comparison and weren't mocking someone for making the comparison. AND, even better, you made such a great point that I wish professional and casual critics would heed. (I'd throw in Southland Tales and Spielberg's AI to the convo.)

Yes, I am fully aware of how you want Vulture to give you everything for free in a BlueSky advertisement for their content so you don't have to spend a second going to their site and reading one sentence.

"Netflix" is the fifth word in the first sentence of the review. Social media posts from publications are meant to drive people to the sites so that they can earn advertising money so that they can stay in business. If you want everything for free, just pirate the shows, too.

Social media didn't exist when we created laws that banned massive gifts to government employees from people who can benefit from the employees' actions. If terms and accuracy matter, then you should spend more than 15 seconds on your hot takes so that you don't post nonsense like this.

Mmm, mmm, mmm, what a little asshole.

The first people on BlueSky that I ever blocked were the people who were enraged that "big accounts" didn't follow them back. If anyone deserves to be limited, it's people who declare that everyone on social media MUST read and reply to their @s. No. Nope. Nyet.

I'm sure this person whining about having to pay for content was sipping a $5 cup of coffee. Subscribing to newspapers and magazines is how those things stay in business.
