Hello everyone! It's been a couple days since deadline, and while this announcement was meant to go out yesterday, we ran into some stuff that needed to be taken care of on our end that delayed it. We apologize for the lateness! First and foremost, we want to thank everyone that got their entries in! It has been an absolute delight to see what everyone came up with during this event! Part of yesterday was spent compiling all current entries and putting them into the gallery section of the Gifts of Eos Carrd so that they can be viewed all in one place. This will be updated periodically as later entries come in! Second, we want to assure everyone that hasn't gotten their entries in yet that everything is still good and fine! You're good and fine. As a general address to those that ever need grace or more time in general for any reason: we always want you to prioritize your health and / or other things in your real life that take precedence over an online event. We never want to pry into what personal stuff you've got going on, and genuinely want you to weigh how much something is impacting you in real life is versus taking the time to do something that will maybe only add onto that stress. We are more than happy to allow time that is needed, as well as reach out to your gift recipient in order to make sure that everyone is in the loop of what's going on and when to kind of expect a gift be made. Likewise, if you ever need to drop out, let us know and we can start getting our pinch hitters sorted so that an ideal pinch hitter that still fits the bill of enjoying the content that can be made for the recipient in question can be contacted. Third, there are a handful of things we've learned and will put into our planning for 2026 that will hopefully make things smoother and better for everyone involved! These include: • Making OC references mandatory during future sign-ups for those of you that have them and would want them considered for your gift • Offering an optional section during sign-ups for participants to offer prompts, ideas, or scenes that they would enjoy their gifter to take inspiration from (which can include excerpts from their own fics if they want! like a mini-big-bang if you want to consider it that) • Linking our Ao3 collection(s) on our socials just so people know it's there Of course, if there are any other things that we could do better next year, we would love to hear your input so that we can see about making everything as smooth as possible for everyone involved! We do genuinely hope that everyone had fun during the event, and we hope to see you again in Gifts of Eos 2026 for the 10 Year Anniversary of FFXV!

Noctis had slumped next to him and seemed on the verge to take a nap. Gladio rolled his eyes at them; he was standing, arms crossed, but soon a little smile danced on his lips when he replied: “Because you two obviously need that kind of exercise to strengthen you a bit more.” “And may I also point out the fact that considering we are short on gils as it is, we couldn’t afford the extra cost,” Ignis added, being his usual rational self. “Wait, if we don’t have money, how are we going to pay for the car, and more importantly, where are we going to sleep?!?” Prompto had jumped on his feet and he looked concerned, while Noctis simply yawned as if he couldn’t care less. Gladio patted the blonde man on the back. “I believe it’s about time we have that camping trip we always wanted together, and maybe we can find some work in the process.” Ignis was about to protest and remind him that they were supposed to reach Altissia as soon as possible, but the Prince’s shield had a point. In their current predicament, they were grounded and depended on when the Regalia would be fixed and how they would be able to pay for the repairs. “Alright, let’s get started. Gladio, Noct, why don’t you check the camping gear supplies, see if we have everything we need; meanwhile Prompto and I will head to the diner, buy some food and see if anyone knows of some work we could do in the area.” “Sounds like a plan!” The shield said and grabbed the prince by the shoulder, forcing him to stand up. “Come on your Highness, now is not the time to nap!”

An update today to help clarify some concerns that have been brought up to us! :> These updates will be making their way onto our carrd shortly.
Hello, I hope you've been having a good weekend! We come with an announcement and update that will be going into our general rules and FAQ for everyone that is participating, and for any future participants! Touching upon submissions: We were asked how submissions should be done, and our response is that we would like it if you could submit your entries to us via Discord, through our Bluesky messages, through our ask box on tumblr, or via email (giftsofeos[@]gmail.com). For clarification: you are free to upload your entries anyway you want to; we are not wanting to limit how you wish to showcase it (just please respect your gifter's request if they personally don't want it public for any reason at all that is their own). We ask for you to submit your entries to us via one of the aforementioned methods so that we can mark it down as complete on our end! With that said, an addendum to written entries: It's come to our attention that some writers are curious as to what the minimum word count is for submission. We have gone ahead and said that 500 words is the minimum of what we'll be comfortable accepting as a finished ficlet. This word count will not apply to things such as lyrics or poems, which generally tend to hover around an average of ~150 - ~170 words. Same consideration for haikus as they are meant to follow a 5/7/5 format and could not reach that if it is one on its own. Thank you for your time, and as always: if you have any questions, concerns, or inquiries, please don't hesitate to bring them up! We are happy to answer questions and assuage concerns while we work on organizing this event! :>
So what's the goal of Gifts of Eos? Community, really. Helping to bring fans together and celebrate an exchanging of fan made content. Do you have a date for the event? Not yet, but we'll post when we do! Currently discussing and making sure we know how we'll be hosting this. What is allowed in the exchange? Anything that you can make with your hands that is set within the realm of FFXV. Art, writing, music, physical goods as long as the recipient of your gift is okay with it! We are also open and receptive to fan characters within the setting. So if some people would like to say they want their FFXV OC and/or their OC ships, that's fine, too. What artistic skill level is allowed? Creatives of all skill levels are allowed to participate. Will you allow Gen AI content? If you use Gen AI, you're giving both admins and anyone else who is interested permission to melt you in lava. If we find out any of your work was made with Gen AI, we hold no reservations about blacklisting you from the event and any future events we hold. I'm worried about being paired with someone I have blocked. Just let us know when sign-ups are live, and we'll make it so you're not paired with that person / those people.
