As a bonus, I wanted to show off this new acrylic painting I did. 8x24" is the biggest I've done yet and I intend on overcoming my confidence issues by submitting it to a local gallery

Very close! It's a texture of fallen leaves I made for a game I was making a while ago. I find having all these texture assets very useful!
