It is fun in a weird and frustrating way? I am only a beginner at spinning and weaving. People who have been doing this for years make paper thread (often using better paper) that blows my mind.

Weaving fabric for book covers over here! The brown thread is spun from my used coffee filters. (Sarah C Swett’s zine on the process was super helpful) The cotton-and-paper texture is funky and I wish I could share it too

Probably a gendered upbringing thing explains why two guys my age hadn’t heard of that movie, or maybe it is a coincidence. Either way, I was not prepared to explain the movie or book

Update: now California recommendations for adults includes “all who choose protection”
