📺 Angela Rayner said this week that anyone living in an unsafe home was one person too many.

But her government continues to rule thousands of leaseholders out of any help to fix fire safety defects.

The building safety scandal was caused by decades of systemic negligence, incompetence & deception, by successive governments & industry.

Can @alexjjnorris.bsky.social explain why ordinary people have been left to face bankruptcy? 👇

Snap response to the Grenfell Tower Inquiry recommendations response. A flurry of consultations and reviews which somehow feel both lightweight and overwhelming. Some good in there. But lots missing. We have travelled since Grenfell - but not nearly far enough:

For what it's worth, the latest building safety stats are out.

❌ The data is still full of holes and still painting half a picture (at best).

❌ MHCLG still "monitoring" with no meaningful oversight.

❌ Leaseholders & residents still waiting for the Govt to get a grip.
