Instead of saying "go ahead and", try just not saying it, because it's completely unnecessary.

I find it hard to know what to say on social media lately. On one hand, I feel like I should be commenting on great social issues and current disasters and on the other hand I want tell some dumb joke or talk about how I had a nice time fishing or something. That all seems a bit incongruous.
