I respect that historic take on it, but I feel like this misses out on the slow but steady enshittification of games. Content being carved out for Micro transactions; loss of ownership in favor of licence; pacing issues due to micro transactions; content gated behind editions... They are worth less.

That's literally what I did, completely isolated from the broader art discussion online! I saw pros drawing things from their heads that *I* found difficult at 13, and concluded a real artist can just draw everything without references!
