This stunning brownstone housed a post office well before our Independence in 1916. The vivid green of the window frames and signage is a patriotic tipping of the cap to all who once entered.
But sadly the former long life of this building must come to an end.
It'll alway be The Post Office to us

It seems an inevitability that beautiful Post Offices are getting shunted to local shopping centres or the corner of your local spar/centra.
The folks of Skibbereen have now become victims of this on going travesty.
