I see that some U.S. tourism operators are offering exclusive deals to Canadians to try to convince us to visit. Honestly, even though I know there are (still) friendly people there, it no longer feels like a friendly border. I won't cross it. Trump trolling on the 51st state (again) hasn't helped.

☕Community-building introvert update. I decided to get to know the neighbours better and dropped invitations to a "Saturday morning coffee on the deck" in the mailboxes of 18 nearby houses. Success! Nearly half of the households strolled into the yard, bringing coffee mugs and great conversation.

I've just learned that I've been eating chocolate-coated digestives upside down my entire life. As a rule-following kind of person, I will need a little time to get over the shock. The biscuits are meant to be eaten with the chocolate-covered side facing down. 😲
