Do you have to enter through a window or the garage? I’m no expert but I don’t see a door.

Also, if you’re self-employed and buying health insurance, that’s a deductible expense. (I don’t know how it works if you’re married filing jointly.)

I looked through the feed, & I didn't see exactly our floor--one is close, but the border is a little different. Also, the walls in the stairwell appear to be some kind of pressed leather (!?!)--that's what I've been told anyway. How can I send the pics? (And I can retake if you want a better shot.)

Then you shall get some! I'll need to move the rug, etc. but that's no big deal (it's just a floor mat, not carpet or anything). Do you know, are these floors a Chicago thing, or something that could/can be found in this quantity elsewhere?

Okay, thanks to you, I actually LOOKED at the tile floor entry to my building, and . . . it's not as boring as I thought it was! There's an entryway, and another door, and then a pattern that goes around the base of the staircase. Would you like pics?

Oh, being an Old Broad means the box of fks left to give is not just empty, the box itself .has been recycled. The one risk is eyeball strain from rolling one’s eyes.

I was thinking the same thing . . . and I'm one of the people who misses you and the duke and the welcome perspectives you added. In particular, your comments helped shine light on a specific thread of whatever we were discussing, though not everyone could see that, IMHO. Glad I've found you here.

Honestly? Same here. I wouldn't call my youth misspent--I spent it very well, tyvm--but I can see how others might not agree with all my choices. Hell, I don't agree with all the choices my younger self made! That's what "learning" is for. But I do not want all of that to be public.

thanks for doing this. the floors in my 1913 building aren't that interesting, but it's lovely to see this "catalogue."

A cheesesteak, but made w Camembert and venison (though beef and provolone are damn fine, too). Caramelized onions, of course, and a really good baguette.

Do you have a drink that uses boiled cider? I was going to go simple (just club soda), and I will try that, but I was wondering if there are sprits that would add to it. Ginger would also not be amiss, I bet. But alcohol?

I try to do my part.
(I was at our alma mater when he won, and I remember the pall over the campus. The election night "party" I attended was a wake; little did we know just how bad it would be.)
