No for real though, shutdown is bad. CTSU will probably be back up shortly and so far things have been okay but I don’t love part of my job now involves thinking about how this congressional republican tantrum is hurting cancer patients in Oconomowoc, WI.

Not loving the emails I’m getting at work being like “sorry about the government shutdowns, here’s our plan to keep doing cancer research though.”

This comes while there have also been months of “sorry they decided that this study isn’t important enough so we have to stop” announcements.

Sincere apologies for the last minute cancellation everyone! My mom fell and broke her arm so I spent the evening at the hospital with her.

We will try to find a new time soon once I have a better idea of what life looks like since both of my parents need surgery this month!
