I read historical fiction about corruption & villification of Jews in 1930's Poland. How many in our younger generations recognize subtle attempts to undermine rights that are occurring now? Despite the sorrow I feel about that history, the author's skill fascinates me. #TheInvisibleBridge

This excellent review of the history of oppressed civil rights and the insurgence for equality in U.S. reveals that many repressive tactics imposed on citizens now isn't new, it's that the depth of who is oppressed has. And now I wonder what will be our resistance to oppression.

Memorial weekend was the 1st anniversary for Becca's adoption. I love seeing her sleep so peacefully. Whatever abuse she had during the 8 yrs before she was ours, isn't her nightmare now.

She's 8 yrs old, our 3rd rescue, and she's great. We're so grateful she's happy being part of our family.
