How exciting. I am organizing my basement. Grabbed a lamp off the shelf to move it. Looked down at the old-fashioned fiber-wrapped cord draped over my fingers. I mused that it seemed cold which surprised me. Then, it fell to the floor. Not a cord. A baby garter snake. Safely relocated to the woods.

The proposed budget cuts funding to the National Endowments for the Arts. The NEA ($210M) is 0.003% of the federal budget. Defense is 13% of the budget. The "Golden Dome" will cost $161B to $542B to implement. The money allocated to the "Golden Dome" could fund the NEA for 778 to 2619 YEARS.
