I said in a different thread last night, where somebody was celebrating a court order telling the administration they couldn't do a thing, "So what? We have had 10,50? such orders. Their response is "lol fuckin' make me" and so far there hasn't been a single repercussion, not even a day's jailing."

Miller and his ilk found a 'useful idiot' in Trump, rode his populism into power and now are desecrating everything that we held dear - because those same values are anathema to their beliefs (and the path to their further enrichment by the robber baroms upon the backs of dogs like us).

To be fair we have an illustrious history of executing people (of color, usually) for minor alleged transgressions. For example, George Floyd was only 6 years ago but that's an eon in news cycle time. Getting your face caved in with a baton for spitting on a "peace officer" has been SOP for decades

As if a court ruling... Or 10... Or 50...have meant a goddamn thing to these monsters so far? They have blown through norms & gentleman's agreements with contempt & a mindset of "lol, make me" for almost a full year & it worked, the courts are unable to impose meaningful consequences. So what next?!

This is my home town. I was aghast at the news when I saw it for myself.... I cried & took a depression nap. There is no fault on you for avoiding the adt'l videos that have surfaced - in so many cases, it only introduces trauma. So no judgement here on avoiding more heartbreak. You are wonderful.

Because it hurts people they want to hurt but cannot - yet. So many of them yearn to queer-bash, or night-stick a person of color, or break the car window of somebody who has a bumper sticker that upsets them. For the moment they can't, but the goons can, so they imagine the goons are them. Horrid.
