I suppose from a male pov, the film wouldn't resonate much.
But it really was quite the take on unattainable beauty standards and ageism for women; particularly in the entertainment industry, but equally in an advertising culture that spends millions telling us we're not good or pretty enough.

This part 👆🏼 There was zero acknowledgement from that toad of the hoops we've had to jump through and the thousands it's cost to obtain ILR.
Nor a single mention of the cost of Citizenship after that. Which may be the reason ILR folks aren't passporting-up.

I've been ILR for 28yrs. Never claimed a single benefit because I work, pay taxes, etc. What happens if I don't meet Nigel's Goldman Sach's-level income threshold?

Compared to US news media, BBC will appear better on the surface due to lack of reporter opinion and overall robotic delivery.
But please don't mistake that for fairness/impartiality. As others have pointed out, they are a Conservative tool. We watched it for 14 years under excrutiating Tory rule.
