Senate should’ve asked her about # of no-bills under her tenure, with some comparison stats. Wouldv’ve loved to see who she threw under the bus: left-wing grand juries (b/c bias vs conservatives from serving on juries?) or holdover Biden lawyers…like Judge Jeanine? Couldn’t be her fault.

Exactly this. The pictures were new info I believe. She saw what happened to Patel when he testified - he committed perjury when he said Epstein was only perp. She had a notebook full of canned insults so she could respond w/those instead of answers. The 218th signature is coming. 1/

They don’t need to be reminded; they are living it. If active duty, risky to talk to wrong people. This might be good question to ask on military subreddit b/c a lot of them are veterans & tend to lean liberal & would appreciate respect of being asked. Vets could be good bridge here. 2/

This is a very good question. I lurk on www.reddit.com/r/Military & www.reddit.com/r/nationalgu... sometimes to get a sense of how they are dealing with all this & how big a crisis it is. I definitely get the sense they are tired of civilians reminding of their oaths, giving out phone nbrs, etc. 1/

It would be great if schools had a Citizenship Day when the kids learned about civics (parents too) & all recited the oath. Heck, maybe we should include it in No Kings Day. Let Stephen Miller screech about antifas all saying the same words on the same day. 3/3

I had occasion to look up the oath of citizenship today. Setting aside parts about giving up foreign allegiances & being willing to serve in the armed forces or our country in other ways (we ask more of naturalized citizens than birthright ones), the core oath isn‘t that different from others 1/

Lemons looks to have more experience with drug cases than that - hard drugs, trafficking, gun cases. Lead or assistant prosecutor. Criminal prosecutorial experience so step up from Halligan. No match for Fitzgerald & his career looks promising so wonder what he was offered to fall on his sword.

Trump has federalized Texas NG in IL; they are more like a part of the regular military. That keeps it from being a state vs state issue. If Texas NG had waltzed in without that, IL could’ve sued Texas at SCOTUS as fast as they could. So neither OR or IL would want to do that. 1/

This is heartbreaking and outrageous. I think people in the areas that flooded should sue Abbott & whoever is in charge of Texas NG & say if NG has extra time & resources, supposed to help Texas 1st. And when next disaster hits, need NG at full capacity b/c Noem’s FEMA clearly not up to task.

Worst thing that can happen is if deceptive clickbait headlines also lead to increasing anti-trans people‘s attention to the bills. Then you have a problem. So there could be advantage in stealth methods. Newsom has let y’all down but living in NC we’re going backward.

I’m not in CA so people should absolutely do those things. The issue was the headline saying Newsom might veto the bills, which seems like clickbait scare tactic b/c supporters of bill think if Newsom doesn’t sign it‘s a veto, when truth is if he can sign or not - either way bills become law. 1/

I hope this gets Miller fired & forces SCOTUS to actually defend Constitution when first of these cases makes it there. Plenary authority seems like it is far outside official acts of the President. Heck, use it in all the SCOTUS cases involving Trump. Goes to Trump’s understanding of official acts.

So scaring trans people like society-at-large is scaring trans people but somehow they’re different. Hypocrisy is lovely. And so many people quoting that article & using it to pile on Newsom instead of taking time to read beyond headlines. You were one of the few people I saw who did, so thank you.

I’m not in CA but would be calling. But would also understand the difference between him not signing the bills & a veto. I’d also be wondering what LGBTQ Nation’s agenda is. Just doesn’t sound like they are being helpful.
