Rather than cut academic staff and target international students, maybe Australian universities should cut expensive bureaucracies *replicated across each institution* that do stupid things like check font size and margins. That is not ‘core university business’.
About to submit my first NWO (Dutch Research Council) application & giddy to learn that NWO staff will check it for compliance and give me a reasonable timeframe to submit corrections. 🤯 @arc-tracker.bsky.social Imagine, no endless duplication of tasks across university research offices! #budgetcuts
