I’m thinking you’re focusing on the wrong culprit. These days, Politicians DEPEND on We the People not paying attention. The gauge they use is
- How Many Registered Voters
- % Who Actually Vote
- How Often (ie, % of elections) they SHOW UP
If We don’t, they only need pay attn to Who Gives Them $$
