Wandance aired today! I shouldn't be surprised but it's REALLY beautiful in its 2D animation. I also like the MC having a stutter - I wasn't expecting that. However, the 3D dancing CGI doesn't quite integrate. I was hoping for something like Medalist's CGI where it felt seamless

I would rather die than get reincarnated to my self insert MIDDLE SCHOOL romantasy novel series oh my gaaawwdd. The worldbuilding would've been nonsensical, the characters shallow, and the antagonists stereotypical. All this to say The Dark History was stupidly funny

Mukohda from Campfire Cooking returns with another monster child - but no, he did not give birth to it! There was some INSANELY smooth animation when he was making gyoza - there was a video recently where they talked about hiring someone specifically to animate cooking movements

Meh. Chitose Is In The Ramune Bottle is not for me. I thought the title was interesting, and the MC actually being a popular boy trying to befriend the unpopular kid was an enticing premise, but nothing about this episode story wise or characters stood out for me

Cannot even begin to describe how emotionally satisfying and devastating this last episode is in The Secrets of The Silent Witch. It was setup so well in a way I didn't see coming. Yet, I knew the second her hand stopped at that book that somehow she had found her dad again

Mechanical Marie aired today! A romcom of an illegitimate son who's set to inherit a huge company and a "robot" maid who's secretly just a badass girl that's incapable of emoting. My only complaint is that their feelings already blooming in the 1st episode is a little too fast for my tastes

To Your Eternity's last season is here. The opening song is gorgeous, and it brought a tear to my eye seeing Fushi's friends now thriving in a relatively peaceful world. The pain of living shifting from just surviving hard times to our mental health is a perfect writing choice

Spy x Family is back again (with a suspicious sub format fix as you can see). It's clear by now that Anya's the real glue to this story because any part of it without her doesn't feel the same. I suspect that this season though it's Loid's turn to shine

SANDA is one of the perfect premieres. Premise? What if Santa is hiding in the body of a twink and is called to the surface in a dystopian Japan by a desperate girl looking for her missing dearest friend?

It's dynamic, it's silly, it's unique, and the animation is to die for

Do not let The Star Brighter Than The Sun fly under the radar!

This series is directed by one of My Love Story With Yamada-kun's episode directors and is already showing off subtle art style shifts and creative transitions. Also, it's such a sweet, childhood friends romance.

Kakuriyo Bed & Breakfast For Spirits' first season aired SEVEN years ago. I would've never believed you if you told me that it was coming back, yet, here it is!

It feels like this second season is going to focus more on Odanna, which is great. Also, Nao Toyama raps in the op!

First thoughts on Yano-kun's Ordinary Days:

I really like the art style. Fresh, fluid, and unique. The relationship between an ultra clumsy boy and a super responsible girl is cute. Whether it can stand out amongst the romcoms will depend on how this relationship develops

While humans repeat their heinous mistakes in demonizing marginalized communities for no reason other than dissatisfaction with their own lives, this show affirms its love for all the “monsters” in the world.

Ever since the age old classics, "monsters" are defined by what's socially acceptable. Right now, there's no better way to tell a queer story than through monsters
