Using your structure, I tend to avoid over the table as I find that meta-gaming is an issue outside of close friends.
I love narrative, and will stay in Aloud as often as possible.
I keep an internal dialogue going at all times, and relish when players or the DM *wants* to hear their mentality.

It was the way that I kept up with so many people. It was conversations and sharing and closeness that's now gone.
What replaces that? It's not that I can't reach out, or that they wouldn't still want to interact, but the ease in which it was to feel like you were sharing something is gone.
