I don't understand why California is being neglected - there was a huge demonstration in San Francisco and even in Walnut Creek in the East Bay where I demonstrated, there were more than 10,000 people. Here is the sign I carried:

MSM should also show what happened yesterday in smaller cities. We were 10,000 strong in Walnut Creek, CA - a lot of gray hair but more younger people than in previous demonstrations. Here is the sign I carried:

The American Dream is so far from reality for so many people in our country that to believe in it is to be complicit in the rising power of the ultrarich and multinational corporations. Reject the myth. Ask for an economy that would make the Dream possible.

"Just work harder and you can be rich like us!" It's lie that distracts us from the truth: there aren't enough hours in the day for us to build the wealth necessary for our money to grow exponentially. That's what it takes to get rich in the U.S. And it's not possible for almost ALL OF US.

I live in a retirement community where the average age is 78. We are showing up at all the local demonstrations like the one last Saturday in Walnut Creek which drew more than 5,000 people. We have organized car pools, made signs and here I am in the March 50501 Sacramento event:

We’ve been told the lie - that each person’s financial success and power position is from their intelligence, skills, and work ethic. This allows us to blame people living in poverty for their situation, rather than the economic system itself. Time to break the #MeritocracyFallacy.
