I would say it’s the diminishing of little touches, there’s no signal ping after cutting tail, there’s not little flourish when you complete the subquest (which should be back btw since the gacha feeling investigations have always felt wrong).

As brutal as they are they made builds more fun to me, could just be a weirdo though lol

I’m realizing with you and max playing it how much I missed needing to explicitly hunt more than one monster to make weapons was for making weapons armor. Really varied the gameplay and was quite satisfying and gave a good rotation.
