It's the same hissy fit every time someone criticises the Democrats. Hey, maybe Dems need to grow a pair and stop kowtowing to Republicans every time their donors want them to make nice. Democrats were actually in a good position to win the Senate. I'm not sure how true that is anymore.

You can vote Democrat if you want but at this point I'm not sure what good that will do. Establishment Democrats will just give a token resistance to Republicans then back off and essentially rubber stamp whatever the GOP wants.

It probably has more to do with the fact their donors were gonna lose a tonne of money if this continued. Plus the tinfoil hat part of my brain wonders if this was an attempt to sabotage the social Democrats because they're more afraid of them than the GOP.
