Yeah, I see your point. I don’t know the details of the fight with big tobacco, but I’m sure they’d put up a hell of a fight about the contents of their products. We’re going to see the same thing re: ultra-processed foods.

This is why we’ve had the decades-long “liberal bias” in the media trope. It was never true, but repeated often enough for some to believe it. And this is why the oligarchs are trying to control all the media: to ensure no one learns the truth about how bad the billionaires are for the rest of us.

Health insurance plans provide free cessation products/meds. Many states provide free products, counseling, etc. What’s your solution?

The education was paid for by cigarette taxes, exactly as intended. Higher prices discourage getting started, especially by younger folks. Smoking is much, much less prevalent than when I was a kid. Both my parents smoked, none of their kids did.
