This is as terrifying and as angering as the damage done to social safety nets and health care. But it’s getting much less attention. With this huge militarized policing force in place, future changes or resistance will become more and more difficult, if possible at all.

I hear you. But. From this bleeding heart’s perspective, I wonder if the Earth is “happy”? She deserves more than that: care, compassion, kindness, equal rights, protection—all the things us BHLs bleed for.

I suspect the future that is written now is going to make it a lot harder for the myth of justice in America to ever become reality.

And TBH it’s a bit devastating.

We hope. But consider this: next in line = JDV; impeach him and we get Speaker Johnson. Even if the office is empty, consider who now has access to so much of the backdoor machinery ($$ distribution, DOJ, DOD, HHS, etc.) that keeps the lights on. I want to be hopeful, but . . .
