Its my birthday today! For this special occasion, I present some Cyberbeasts illustrations. Three of the four are updated designs to be lore accurate while the fourth is new for the series. I hope to eventually write about these guys in the future. #oc #art #creaturedesign #dinosaurs
Glace the cryotyrannus. You know him, you love him. Given that his species of blue and silver cybernetic tyrannosaur is the mascot, not much was changed aside from making the design more proportionate by taking more aspects from daspletosaurus. Rosa the stegoflorus. This is the first time I made Rosa look cybernetic. I thought it would be difficult but surprisingly it wasn’t. Despite how the marker color came out, she’s still supposed to be bright green with brown stripes and red eyes. Funnily enough, I actually based her body structure here on a kentrosaurus rather than stegosaurus. Pyra the inferno lion. This one was a bit tricky. While I was to get the orange and gold aspects of her color scheme in the right places, the difficulty came from the fur. Trying to depict fur on a cybernetic lion is not easy. Luckily, I was able a look that was faithful to the character. Saber the thunder-tooth tiger. Meet the newcomer to the series. For those who don’t know, Saber was an old character from an old story of mine. Of course while Tyrannos and Leonne were easily updated for Cyberbeasts, Saber was difficult to the point where he needed an overhaul. For one thing, he had to be more in line with the design language. So I based them on smilodon. Secondly, I made this Saber part of the next generation of characters. Thirdly, I wanted to keep some aspects of the original. So I kept the electric green base color while adding yellow to the stripes, spikes, and blades. The result is a cybernetic big cat with some mean saber fangs and blades to back them up.

Metalgreymon from digimon. Specifically metalgreymon(virus), the OG metalgreymon. Difference between this and regular metalgreymon is color and this one being a virus digimon as oppose to regulars vaccine attribute. Metalgreymon(virus) is blue with yellow eyes. Some depictions give him stripes to parallel normal metalgreymon.

Glace as a kaiju. Colors are blue and silver with ice blue claws as usual. One detail of note is that the back spikes glow when he is using is ice breath, the frost breaker. The city behind him is being frozen solid hence all the snow. Rosa as a forest witch. Colors are green with brown stripes as usual. Her witch hat is either black with orange stripes or orange with black stripes depending on how you interpret it. The glow green balls are nature ether blowing in the wind. Right now, she is wandering in an autumn forest.

I’m back from NYCC and I have returned with some loot. This comes in the form of some Digimon booster packs and book 1 of Alice and the nightmare by @mishacak3s.bsky.social. My thoughts on going to comic con for the first time on tumblr. I enjoyed my time there but the large crowds gave my anxiety.

So remember my custom zoid from a few months ago? Well I decided to update the design and give it a proper name. Meet the Thero fury. Its name comes from the word therion meaning wild beast. Since this is a Zoids: Wild version of the Berserk fury the seems appropriate. #zoids #art #oc #mecha
Thero fury: A bipedal robot based on tyrannosaurs. Default colors are white armor with red caps and orange eyes. Zoid key is made to resemble a tyrannosaurs tooth. Frostbite armor: Thero fury is colored blue armor with white caps. This variant is more adapted to colder climates. This color doubles as a references to zoids like the Xeno rex and Gairyuki. Forest colors: Thero fury is colored green armor with bright green caps. This variant is adapted to forest and jungle environments. Scorched armor: Thero fury is colored red armor with orange caps. This variant is more adapted to warmer climates.

Decided to post these two zoids again. The blue fury I posted before but the red liger is new-ish. For context, both of these are a Zoids: Wild take on the Berserk fury and Liger zero. I think having the fury be blue and liger be red makes for a nice contrast. #zoids #art
Neo fury. I decided to call this color the azure dragon. I like to think of this as an evolutionary descendent of the Berserk fury. The blades on the back extend forward and act as gun-blades when in wild blast mode. Apex liger. This color scheme is called the crimson king. Just like the Neo fury, this is descendent of the Liger zero. When in wild blast mode, the claws extend forward giving the Apex liger greater range with its claws. Think of it like Odogaron’s claws in Monster hunter: world.

Here are some sort-of dragon ocs. Canonically, the more dino-looking Cyberbeasts are referred to as dragons despite not looking like dragons in the traditional sense. These are a few examples of a dino-looking dragons.
Glace the Cryotyrannus. An ice dragon Cyberbeast and son of Tyrannos. Cera the Geoceratops. An earth dragon Cyberbeasts and Glace’s long time friend.

Fun #Cyberbeasts fact: When the webcomic version was in the works, originally the “cyber” part wasn’t cybernetic but instead cyberspace. In the modern version, the “cyber” part does mean cybernetic. In other words, they are cybernetic beasts instead of beasts from cyberspace. #funfact
