Getting to discuss each teams' play-styles, strategies, strengths, and weaknesses, the role of each player and their dynamics with their teammates, freaking out together about subtle, high-skill plays.

I originally didn't think much of this episode but on a rewatch? Genuinely peak fiction. I wish this series got more love.

The pacing is amazing, the strategy is great to see, we get two really great character arc pay-offs, and there are those two absolutely spine-chilling scenes that tie the episode together.

But the amount of readers who are outright disregarding JJK's and Yuji's major themes to act like this is just an opportunity for Yuji to live up to their powerscaling expectations makes me question the existence of reading comprehension.

No, Yuji shouldn't "follow in Gojo's footsteps" by isolating himself from everyone and becoming nothing but a weapon. That's the dead opposite of the message Gojo imparted onto Yuji! "Hasn't the world had enough of Satoru Gojo." Are we reading the same story???

Yuji shouldn't be a curse-killing cog again. The narrative criticizes Yuji's cog mentality and the resolution of his arc is him realizing that he was wrong, that your worth isn't dependent on what you accomplish. He's at peace once he humanizes himself after seeing himself as a tool for so long.

NEVERMIND, THIS IS MUCH COOLER!

Also poor Hakuri. He better get the chance to wield an enchanted sword and prove himself at some point or I'm gonna riot.

I only met him 2 chapters ago so maybe I'll hate him later, but my favourite character so far is Soya Sazanami.

Seeing this on a screen also brings forward something that nothing has made me feel so strongly since watching All Might fight AFO in Kamino:

A feeling of immersion so strong that it makes you get out of your chair and cheer for the heroes as though they're real.

This show makes me feel so moved.
