🌷Our gardens are often admired for their blooms, borders & perfectly pruned trees🌳

Who has the green fingers at Gladstone’s Library? Our amazing volunteers!

Here they are in action—clearing paths, pruning trees & tending the kitchen garden.
One of our volunteers is holding a spade over a wheelbarrow, uncovering a hidden path. A volunteer is cutting back a small tree that sits in a border of trees and bushes. A volunteer is holding two watering cans at the bottom of a set of steps. Around her are large trees and small bushes. A border of plants and shrubs, with large trees in the background and a blue sky.

Women have touched just about every aspect of life in Parliament, even when history overlooked them. From housekeepers to typists, from wives and daughters to reporters, the lives of these women have been largely unacknowledged – until now.
