The Burke-Gilman trail is closed at gas works Park 1 block between Burke Ave and Meridian Ave to fix the trail (yay no more bumps). I didn’t see any dates for closure.

Some orange and white closure and detour signs block a trail. The old blacktop has been dig up leaving a several inch hole. There’s some sort of protective material placed down. There’s caution tape surround the hole where the trail has been dug out.

Yeah, that lot has been stalled for over 5 years. Maybe we shouldn’t rely on private development to complete public infrastructure.

City of Seattle calling this section on 7th a minor separation bike lane or greenway is generous. I ride this section every day dodging cars merging into what is a just really wide general purpose lane. @seattledot.bsky.social
City provided bike route map communicating that there is a minor separated bike lane or greenway on 7th Ave between Dexter and Bell.

Excellent, can we now focus the next year+ of advocacy on the bumps along the stretch of the trail across from gasworks.
