yes exactly! there are some cis people who just had unusual names that seem unorthodox for their gender, usually because of strange family traditions. like i used to know a cis woman who's name was lloyd, for instance, & i once online encountered a cis man named elizabeth

for background checks, it's only 5 years iirc. i think for federal agencies it's 10 years but it may be less than that

it depends on how long ago you changed your name, to my understanding! depending on the situation, between 5 & 10 years after the name change, you're no longer required to provide it because it's outdated to the point of not being relevant
