The 14-Day rule prevented BBC from commenting on any issues currently debated in Parliament.

AND

The absurdity of a ban on election campaign coverage magnified by the launch of ITV

These impediments co-existed with strong reservations within the BBC about “limits of controversial broadcasting”

I’m not sure which functioning better but ITN/ARTV had clear scorecard presentation of DEUCE predictions

ELLA didn’t get much of a look in - as night wore on predictions given verbally ..

Whether that meant someone was now just doing the hard maths.. 🤷‍♀️

I notice there’s a lot of regional variations tonight - particularly circa 5.30 to 7.30pm

Chiefly centred around which action/adventure series run and when - assume sorts itself out over course of the week
