I think there was a geological time-scale forecast from the 1990s-2000s that predicted the US turning to mostly desert while Africa mostly greened. it might have been an article in Discover or OMNI magazine.

One take away from this is that Republicans wouldn't have to try so hard to gerrymander their way into office if they would stop killing their own constituents.

When you have hundreds of groups, not just individuals but groups speaking out against something, It should not be ignored!
