Not just "the kids", but yes--maybe it's cause the kids aren't as aware of the process. "Repeating same mistakes"? No. In the next primary, if "the kids" work their asses off to win it for their candidate, then great. But if another Dem wins, those kids still better vote in the general.

nope--If any voter who professes to stand for anti-racism, more equitable wealth distribution, environmental stewardship, democracy, the rule of law, healthcare, impartial court, and other liberal stances thought "eh, if Trump wins, we'll be fine"--that voter is just stupid. Stupid stupid stupid.

Nope. The DNC did not shut down voting places. Please provide a link if you disagree. You may be confusing it with how DNC denied campaign access to "voter rolls" after a breach committed by the Sanders campaign. Hardly the same thing.

Kamala was "slightly better than fascism"?? Can you even hear yourself? Sounds to me like you've been too influenced by russian bots. Every Dem candidate has to endure the bot gauntlet, and by the end, too many Dems will say "the candidates are practically the same." It's a damn shame.

a) the Democratic candidates haven't been "slop" b) it wasn't the party--the primaries determined the candidate. alas Bernie lost, but because more democrats voted for someone else c) Forget enthusiasm! You weigh the Dem and Rep candidate and then you VOTE, no excuses. It's our civic duty!

Agreed! Once a month I think about that scene where they're debating about blowing up a bridge, about the collateral damage, and they go back and forth back and forth, and finally Johnson says "Oh just blow up the damn bridge." It says so much--the crystallization of so much about History.

I think you need to be careful with the word "they", as if they're all the same. They're not. The majority of Dems in Senate, certainly overwhelming majority in House, didn't want to cave. Some cavers rep states we're lucky to have any Dem. Others need to be primaried. We can start with Schumer.

Not to pick on you in particular, but can we not be more accurate in language? "The Democrats"? The majority of Senate Democrats and I'll wager nearly every Dem in the House was ready to go the distance. and "No" interest? Wrong, just wrong. Sweeping statements are unhelpful.

But I don't even understand that. If Elon was blasted into space never to return, and Tesla was taken over by folks passionate about a cleaner world and sustainable future, I--and surely millions of others--would consider buying a car there's no way in hell I'd buy at the moment.

No, there's nothing obscure in a law forbidding people in Kentucky not being allowed to vote in the NYC mayor election (I'm sure a lot of them were hoping to vote against Mamdani, that Mao/Stalin/Ayatollah). No, we shouldn't treat folks like they're dumb, but we shouldn't infantilize them either.
