Screenwriters...need notes? Seek out Garrick. Quite simply...super smart, intuitive to the story and characters. I highly recommend him. Oh, and he's a really good dude, too.
The good: I've been wearing "producer hat" more lately.

The bad: pro bono producer work means no income. And so, I could use your help!

If you're looking for sharp, wholistic, empathetic notes on your screenwriting, please consider doing a consult with me. DM me for rates/availability!

I received a read request through the Austin Film Festival's 2025 Producers Book. I didn't realize I was in the book, but I'll take it. #scriptsky

I so enjoyed my time working with Brad on our screenplay adaptation of the book, The Man Who Forgot. Easily one of the nicest people I've worked with. RIP.

Congrats to James Longman on leading up the new SNL UK. Worked with him developing a feature film many years ago. Great guy. Welcoming and supporting of my creative ideas as a screenwriter. Couldn't happen to a better guy.

‪Nice news. My historical true story, CONVICTION, has advanced to semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition. Top 2% of over 11,500 entries. I am doubtful it will go any further. So many exceptional writers out there. Grateful! #AFF #AUSTINFILMFEST #SCREENWRITER #SCRIPTSKY

Always loved submarine thrillers and always dreamed of writing one. 10 years ago I got my chance...bringing a director's story to life.
The Blue Whale is about an 18 year-old American girl who stows away on a cocaine smuggling submarine to escape a life of prostitution in Colombia. #scriptsky

Grateful to have been awarded a partial scholarship to a screenwriting retreat next year in Spain where I'll be mentored by Hollywood pros. But, with 3 kids in college this fall, and a large balance due to secure my spot, my bleeding wallet is screaming at me “Get your priorities straight, dreamer!”

Cool news to share. The Clear Conspiracy is a TV series pilot I wrote a few of years ago, based on the book: EOL – End of Life, by Art Jetthree. The cool news is that a Proof of Concept Trailer is going into production in Brooklyn New York. Sending positive vibes to the production team! #scriptsky

The first feature film screenplay I ever wrote. I didn't really know what I was doing...self-taught, learn-by-doing stuff...but it was good enough to get read by Demi Moore's people back in the 90s, and got optioned and put in development by an LA producer in the 00's. #scriptsky

I was scouring my files of half-baked loglines, ideas, random thoughts, abandoned scripts, etc, for my next possible spec script. Discovered I have enough stuff to write a short story collection. Gonna do that. It'll take years, but it's the only way these stories will ever see the light of day.

The first film I ever made, way back in high school. Inspired by Star Wars a, I built a 6-foot model on our dining room table. I scavenged battleship model parts to create the details. When I used the film to get into film school, they told me it was terrible. Yeah, but I had nowhere to go but up.
