For as long as I’ve been listening to the news, and no doubt long before that, politicians have been talking about the need to embrace ‘British values’. Nobody has ever been able to explain quite what they are. I think that tells you a lot. I also rather *like* the idea that they can’t be defined.

We won’t go far wrong if we keep these levels up but we waste far too many promising situations. Not enough goals for a proper go at the top end. Having said that I don’t really want to go up anyway so it’s alright.
