I hope your day went well. The highlight of mine consisted of my dog Loki lying on top of my face as I tried to take a nap. #galgos, #mydogistryingtosmotherme

Here's a beautiful Dahlia to look at as we watch our society slide into utter madness:

In honor of #nationaldogday, my pal Loki lounging in the sun. #Galgos

OK, so this one hits a little too close to home:

Rochester, NY showing up! I won't venture a guess at the size of this rally but seemed much larger than any of the ones I went to in 2017. One oddity: We saw no police at all

My dogs would like to inform us that the degrees have left us. Where did they go? Are they coming back? Guys, we need some degrees here.

I was there back when it was cool, man.

Lucy gets that look a lot too, especially as she's gotten older (now nearly 14):

More Sunday evening dog posting: Loki and Jarato probably noticing a bunny #dogs #Galgos

It occurs to me that I have been remiss in posting pictures of my (relatively) new companion, Jarato. He's a Galgo Español, rescued from a pound last year. He's our third Galgo (Loki is our other one, see my profile pic). Jarato is now 8, and we adopted him last May. He's very sweet

Also making the rounds in local social media (history doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme, I guess):

And you may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?

It's about that time of year again!

And here's our other Galgo, Loki. He's a former street dog (the galguero dumped him). He's a lot more playful than Wallie was and more overtly affectionate, but also more fearful when he's outside (he's terrified of children)

Here's my brindle, Wallie. Alas, we lost him to bone cancer just a few weeks ago. He was the gentlest creature I've ever known.

Lucy, being silly

My beloved Wallie. We lost him a couple of weeks ago to bone cancer. I still love him dearly

Today, we learned that our dear Wallie has bone cancer. There are no good treatment options, and he's in a lot of pain. Wallie is the gentlest soul I have ever encountered. I have often remarked that he is in some sense too good for this world. It turns out I was right
