Yeah. Unfortunately, my parents don't like the texture of lamb, so only me and my siblings would eat it.
Which is a shame cause my Mom makes a really good roast lamb leg.

Turkey is my least favorite meat to cook.
I can tolerate eating it, but cooking it is a pain in the ass every time I have to deal with one every Thanksgiving or Christmas.
If I had any say at all, I'd just have Chicken or Lamb for Thanksgiving.

Being honest, I never had mac and cheese on Thanksgiving... actually, I didn’t even know that was a thing until now.

Adding to this;
If you DO replace the white sugar with honey, the result is you having to rework the entire recipe to ACCOMMODATE the honey.
If you don't have shortening, margarine works just as well (please do NOT use tenderflake, as it's in fact lard, not shortening... there's a difference)

I tried using Smarties a few years ago and the result was they overpowered the rest of the cookie to the point of being unpleasant to eat.
