this is what happens when you have a first past the post system instead of proportional representation. progressives can't go make their own party and realistically expect to achieve anything. so they have to share the party withnthe likes of newsom...

this is clearly not the case here, but at the start of ww2 soviets attacked Poland, 17 days after nazis did. so there were people defending their home from soviets who weren't nazis or nazi aligned
