Because it means theyre not to blame for anything that happens. I feel like you werent around for the OG lfg days, or around server close in 2022. Especially then it was primarily people hooking up for nsfw stuff or people just trying to get boosted/pocketed.

They still moderate custom games, and they got rid of lfg because it was only used for that, custom games arent. Its a lot easier to send them to an alternative platform that has its own moderation, and prevents blizzard to be at blame for facilitating that stuff.

The company has a duty to protect its userbase, which is why they penalize people abusing custom games for this as well.
July 16, 2025 at 6:16 AM
It was being used for reasons that were not intended tho. As someone that checked it daily from 2016 - 2018 it was almost exclusively people hooking up, drinking, or trying to get people to report them for a name change. All of which abuse the system, and two of them are predatory towards kids

Not really, in WoW by the time you're level 10 (and are able to do your first dungeon, only if you want to* - you don't have to do a dungeon until max level if you dont want to) you have 3 damage abilities, a racial, and maybe a movement/defensive.

ffxiv also has way more button bloat
July 16, 2025 at 2:42 AM
Im saying this as my friend has 3k+ hours in ffxiv and *still* feels overwhelmed in dungeons because the game never actually teaches you how to heal/tank dungeons unless you go out of your way - and more importantly, the game doesn't teach you any instance mechanics while questing.
July 16, 2025 at 2:40 AM
I don't think that really changes what I said - wow dungeons are a bit more nuanced than ffxiv's packx2-wall-packx2-boss dungeons but the overall gameplay, especially at lower levels is the same but slightly faster.

ffxiv has the same pitfalls of WoW, the difference is you spent more time in them

Because a large part of the LFG's were people looking for relationships, looking for 18+ activities, or people advocating for drinking/smoking. It wasn't really used to find duo's or groups in any meaningful way and primarily served to endanger people (Also discord LFG's became a lot more popular)
July 15, 2025 at 11:19 PM
To be fair, ffxiv is the same but instead of you being told how your class is going to play during the first hour or two, you do fetch quests and kill a total of 15 mobs before going into satasha.

also your friend shouldn't have dragged you into a dungeon if you havent played an mmo before

Thats totally fair. It made me realize that I should consider more sides to things and add more reasoning behind the situational perks/priority. I appreciate the chill discussion
February 17, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Thats also the reason I put "if youre confident with your aim OR dont need the mobility, take headshots".. ^^' No guide is ever a one glove fits all.
February 17, 2025 at 2:36 PM
I mean, bronze - plat cant get the same value on headshots as they would get from never dying, and Diamond is when you start finding dps/tanks that will one clip/rotation you when you're in kill range. Im just saying what is better overall for the value the average player would get.
February 17, 2025 at 2:35 PM
That being said, if we see the meta change Juno's play style, then I will update the graphic. I believe though that right now, the majority of juno players bronze to low masters will get more value from being more safe, especially since right now we're in a dive heavy meta.
February 17, 2025 at 1:22 PM
You get a lot more use and uptime from the extra movement, as well as more safety in the majority of match ups. Juno is also mostly played as a main healer/main support. Right now you're only ever shooting enemies in down time or if you're dived, which is why its situational (imo)
February 17, 2025 at 1:21 PM
also, the majority of players will get more use out of having more mobility, but if you're paired with another main healer, or are very confident with your aim, headshots would then become your priority.
February 17, 2025 at 12:28 PM
Juno is usually played as a main support/main healer. Against dive//rush comps, Re-Boots will give a lot more survivability. But against comps featuring tanks like Road/Orisa, or poke comps, Headhunter is a lot more useful. Thats why its situational ^^

They are very, but the community for some reason really wants them back and I think the most ethical way that still generates external revenue is by making them limited(ish) and not paid at all.
February 15, 2025 at 1:46 AM
Theyre not paid
February 14, 2025 at 8:36 AM
Hi I'm learning :)
