👷 Protect workers, not billionaires
🌍 Make polluters pay
💪 Huge thanks to everyone who marched and made their voices heard. We won’t stop until polluters pay!

📢 🚨New Report - How the UK oil and gas industry spent 15 years pushing for subsidies & incentives for Carbon Capture and Storage rather than regulatory accountability or science-based emissions reductions; maintaining a funding pipeline for a technology yet to deliver on its promises 👇
The UK Oil and Gas Industry's Advocacy on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)

With the Trump administration seeking to offload the cost of the US’s corporate health system onto other countries, and big pharma using the chaos to drive up prices, we know this won’t be the last time the NHS comes under this kind of pressure.
globaljusticenow.bsky.social
Big pharma companies already make huge profits from the NHS.

Even more money will now flow into the pockets of super-rich shareholders, likely at the expense of other parts of the health sector. This is a disaster for the UK.

“We have kicked up enough of a stink and they have given in. This is the price you have to pay post-Trump for global pharma to continue to play in the UK”

Big Pharma gloating that, with Trump, they seem to have forced the UK to give in on NHS pricing🧵

Big Pharma’s cartel-like tactics are hurting the #NHS and patients are paying the price.

Along with @justtreatment.org & @globaljusticenow.bsky.social we call on the CMA to investigate the coordinated threats to pull UK investment.

This could create even more good renewable jobs than he talked about today and stop our energy system being hijacked by corporate polluters, lowering bills for us all.

With one third of workers at the Lindsey Oil Refinery losing their jobs this week, the gov cannot act quickly enough.

We need policies like windfall taxation and redirection of fossil fuel subsidies to harness Big Oil’s vast wealth towards supporting its workers through the energy transition.

🚨 We joined @globaljusticenow.bsky.social & Balanced Economy to demand the UK competition watchdog investigates Big Pharma.

Drug giants are pausing UK investments in an attempt to bully the NHS into paying more for medicines.

Patients’ lives are on the line.

The ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally is a terrifying example of what happens when politicians create performative, divisive policies to appease the far-right.

We’ve joined 100+ orgs asking the new Home Secretary to end the scapegoating of refugees and migrants 👇🏼

Yet Starmer's priorities currently seem to lie elsewhere, as he rolled out the red carpet for Trump just recently - it's a bad look.

Given the UK's historic responsibility for the current fatal climate crisis, attendance should not be a "maybe" - Starmer needs to be there.
globaljusticenow.bsky.social
A lack of attendance at COP30 from Starmer would be an abdication of responsibility.

As authoritarian leaders like Trump launch attacks on established scientific evidence on climate change, this is a chance for the gov to stand up to this assault.
