I disagre. She has her axis all wrong. The left look at immediate consequence and try to push for remedy, and decides the long term can be handled then. The right looks at long term consequence, and ignores/accepts the short term consequence as the cost of solving the looming issue.

I would rather live free in a robber baron society, than be trapped in a society where I'm not free to say what I think, have to be nice to people who feel no compulsion to be nice to me, and I'm responsible for taking care of me and mine, and not everyone else in society.

Strange how there was no claim about that until after he forked the project. It sounds more like reputation destruction. There are distributions using his fork now without any more problems than you would expect from a new implementation.
